So, don’t get dazed & confused with too many choices, let me guide you through how to get the most out of Houzz. It’s a fantastic resource, comparable to the virtual equivalent of cutting out decor pictures from magazines, something that every smartphone user should have in their pocket, an app to ignite your imagination.

First create an IdeaBook and then, using a series of words that capture your ideal bathroom, create several searches in ‘photos’. Any photo that resonates with you has to be saved. But don’t analyze too much what it was that caused it to jump off the screen – yet, or you’ll lose your way. I always give a caution as it’s so easy to lose hours – I lost two days when I first discovered the site.

Save any photos that speak to you and go on. Another day, with fresh eyes, just go back through your IdeaBook and review your selections. You’ll start to see a thread throughout, an idea for a detail, a style preference and so much more. You can label them to jog your memory
what you enjoyed and why. This way you can maximize the good stuff from the site’s riches of information, without becoming too engrossed.
