The problem:
The existing en-suite bathroom was looking a little tired. The owners felt it was too basic and wanted a room to excite them.
The design brief:
To create an exciting space with good consideration to be given to the lighting scheme and design detailing.
The solution:
The client didn’t feel a need to retain the bath in their en-suite, having one in the family bathroom. The small, existing shower stood in an alcove taken from the dressing area. We moved the wall give some of this space back to the adjacent room and used the rest to conceal a custom cabinet, made to match the basin vanity unit. The wall mounted toilet was accented by feature lighting wired to a sensor to allow them to be used as a subtle night light. Contrast tiles in the illuminated feature niches added further accent lights which highlight the sparkle in the surface of the floor tiles. For maximum impact, we used very large format porcelain tiles on the walls.
Client love,
this is what matters…
“We chose Bathroom Design Studio because they appeared to offer a more design led approach to our proposed shower room rather than just a plumbing exercise and we were not disappointed. The extensive discussions gave us the confidence to proceed and the end result was fabulous. The standard of workmanship of the friendly fitters was exemplary. We would certainly recommend BDS to anyone looking for a stylish new bathroom.”
